I'm still doing my photos but I always forget to post them. So to the week that was whenever it was.
This is a little bottlebrush that grows in our front yard. Its a pretty little thing. The flowers just curl out of the buds over a day or two.
Lol. This is something that I think Kimba made for me about 12 years ago. I sent them to pottery classes over one lot of school holidays and now I have all these strange pottery creations about the house. This one sits in the kitchen. Always gives me a smile.
One day I woke up, turned my calender and found this. It really wasn't enough information to know what I was meant to be doing. I can't remember what it turned out to be.
Bacon is always good.
Betty having a nanna nap
The cook at the old peoples home I volunteer at makes the most beautiful cakes. She has two lucky sons. I think Lloyd would have liked to have grown up in that kitchen.
And this was yummo. It was a strawberry/kiwi fruit salsa that we had with salmon fillets.
its been ages since I posted the 365 day photos. I've had them here ready to go but I always seem to have something else to blab about. So the week that was 64 - 70
Charlie - the time has just about come for his annual shave, starting to matte up.
This is a pretty vine that grows on our fence. It flowers for about 2 days of the year which is a shame
Here are some lovely young ladies I had dinner with one night.
This was our tree at the back door. First sign of spring.
And again, with another perfect blue sky.
My lovely daughter Kimba
And the gorgeous Jem and Myself. You know people often say to me - what colour is your eyeshadow? But I don't wear eyeshadow. That is just my lovely natural dark eye colour. I've always been very dark around the eyes. I have photos when I was five and I was dark then. Maybe I need a detox!
And so the days keep racing away
I have this fish eye camera that Emjay and Mum gave me for my birthday earlier in the year. I don't use it often because I hate wasting film. Digital has ruined me. You get used to being able to go out and take hundreds of photos at a time knowing you can just delete the ones you don't want when you get home. So film seems so precious now. But it just can't sit on the shelf all the time.
So here we have 57 to 63
no idea where this is - somewhere about town
Lizzie at Darling Harbour Sydney
Just a street in town - its a nice little street though. Well its nice when the Jacaranda trees are flowering. Its a soggy, slimy, stinky mess about a month later when they've all fallen on the street.
This is the park you walk through to get to the nice little street. It isn't so nice because it has a mean magpie living in it. As you can see it hasn't rained for about 500 years here. Its not really a park park, its a cricket ground park. Lots of little children spend long hot Saturdays standing around there.
This is an ugly little ornament that stands at the back door and gets filled with random thongs and shoes that no one wears
Some clowns I saw
And my true blood poster. I'm thinking of cutting them out and doing something (unkown as yet) with them
50 - 56
The foreshore on a lovely, I was going to say Spring morning, but its still winter. Ridiculous really, its already hot and I'm dreading summer. Except the bit when I'm in Thailand.
Me
Me again, with Lloyd - its not snowing
Creepy man who was staring at me. Like a stalker. But he had nice arms. Good for strangling small blondes I bet.
Beautiful daughter Kimba
Me again, and Lloyd again, and the cranky teenage girl who won't have her photo taken.
Betty's schnozzle. She's a funny girl. She's so used to me poking about with the camera she doesn't even move when I'm that close. At first she'd want to lick and jump and be stupid. But now she's lost interest in the whole thing.
43 to 49
Just another example of an Australian winters morning. I took this at 6.30am last week and already the sky was a beautiful blue
An old servo we drove past. It still operates
Chicken Little - you may remember Kimba rescued her from the pound after she'd spent 8 months there.
I went to The Dr Seuss Secret Art Exhibition - amazing man
Breakfast at the foreshore
Kimba and Chicken Little. The sky is not falling anymore.
Early morning at the foreshore. The ferry had just rolled in.
Oops, forgot to post my photos last week. Lucky Candy is on a road trip so won't know.
So, we're up to 36 - 43
These are some very annoying seeds that hang from our next door neighbours palm tree over our fence. They drop into our yard then when you run over them with the lawn mower they shoot out like bullets. They're up too high to reach though. I need some of those extending snippers. Oh, and bats love them as well. So we have bats come and fight in the tree at night.
This is not a Bratz doll, but something like it that I can't remember the name of. I found her when I was packing up some toys. Lizzie cleaned out her room and gave me about 1000 dolls and toys that are not to be thrown away but not to be kept in her room. So I was having a look through. This one looks like Daz's sister. Except she's not plastic.
This is my bastard holder. Not the bastard known as Daz, my bastard file I file tiles with. It always feels a bit funny going into the shop and asking for a bastard.
This was at Ettalong Beach. But we had Indian. Daz had his so hot he went blind for a minute.
This is Lloyd playing AFL. He's the ruckman. He's the one in red in the middle about to hurt that guy. The umpire throws the ball up and they have to jump and try to hit it to their team.
This was taken at my mothers house and obviously there is one very un australian person inside.
And here is Lloyd again. Warming up. I suggested to him that maybe he should be doing pole vaulting or high jump instead of AFL.
okey doke - days 22 - 28
This whole 365 day photo thing is really a 365 things in my town for me.
So day 22. This awful bush grows in the library car park and you have to squeeze past it when you get out of the car.
And this is the library. Its only been around for a few years. When they put the plans up at the Council all these people were up in arms about how it was too modern and would look butt ugly bla bla bla. No one seems to care anymore though and I quite like it. Although the roof makes a lot of creaking noises on hot days.
And this was a little smart car that was at the pub one day I walked past. I'd like a smart car.
lol, theres Jem - at the pub again - we seem to be spending a lot of time there lately
Theres this gift shop in town that sells the most hideous things you've seen. Its like a country gift shop, full of ornaments and dolls that cost a fortune. There is so much shit packed in there that you'd never ever take a small child in there. You can barely move about.
Here we are at the fish shop - fish is just about as expensive as red meat here.
And the construction site at the end of our street. Been empty for years. Apparently no one wants to buy it because its all contaminated from once being the gas works and its too expensive to fix. So it probably has to sit there for about a thousand years before its ok to stir up. There isn't actually ever any construction going on.
So I'm doing this 365 day photo challenge, where you have to take a photo every day, and I'm finding it quite challenging. I forgot to post day 7 yesterday and I almost forgot to take a photo at all on day 6 even though we had people here for a bbq. So I think I'll take the photo every day but post them once a week.
So here we have days 1 - 7. And hopefully vox won't shit itself again and log me out before I finish loading them.
Like I mentioned, i don't leave the house much so expect to see lots of betty, neighbours cats and things I see in my backyard. lol, gonna be a long 365 days.
