wet wet wet

Holy crap! That ginormous ship bumping up on the beach is downright scary. It looks huge... Like unbelievably big.... Glad you guys were ok.
[this is good]
I like all the scrapbookings you made, Cat. I wonder how did you do that? I love them!
It was amazing - and huge.

Yeah, the Pasha Bulker. I like the names people give ships... like the ones they give to race horses. Something quirky about them but not ridiculous... the the porn star names.

Just wish the rains came down all over Australia, not just in selected spots. We so badly need it.

"Pink Teddy" wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Grumble.

Isn't there a rule with race horse names - heard something about it the other day. Has to be clear what it is. I'm sick of rain - then and now. Always feel that if I say I don't like rain I will be carted off and tried as a witch though.

LOL, lol, lol

You are very calm. I would have been standing on the front step watching for the waters! Glad all safe.
Hey Love the new banner - mad hatter indeed.

oh man... lucky you for not having water in your house... but sucks that it flooded... oh and i love what a teenager packs sounds good... lol...

Well my husband kept taking the dog for a walk down to the river. He was still going at 1am so I was hoping he's let us know if it was getting too close. he said there were hundreds of people there.
I guess you were also disappointed by what "wet wet wet" turned out to mean too... lol...
[this is good]
That was amazing when that happened, wasn't it? I am sorry I never got up to see it in real life. Everyone's photos looked amazing though. Hope you don't get any flooding this year. It is sunny in Sydney today which is good as I thought rain had been predicted for the whole weekend.
you would have been lucky to get close to it after the first couple of days. The roads were blocked as so many people were out driving around having a look at it. They're making some sort of ornament out of a part of it to put in the park. I think.
To be honest, it didn't occur to me. I enjoy the occasional double entendre, but that one crosses the line.
Here are the rules re: naming:
Names consisting of more than 18 letters Initials such as C.O.D., F.O.B., etc. Names of persons unless written permission to use their name Names of "famous" people no longer living (w/o approval from JC) Names of "notorious" people. Names clearly having commercial significance, such as trade names. Copyrighted material Names that are suggestive or have a vulgar/obscene meaning, or are offensive.
that was a jumbled mess (what i get for a blind copy-paste), so let's clean it up:
(1) Names consisting of more than 18 letters;
(2) C.O.D., F.O.B., etc.;
(3) Names of persons unless written permission to use their name;
(4) Names of famous people no longer living (w/o approval);
(5) Names of notorious people;
(6) Names clearly having commercial significance, such as trade names;
(7) Copyrighted material;
(8) Names that are suggestive, have a vulgar/obscene meaning or are offensive.

lol - no wonder they come up with such wacky names then - not much left.
Suppose that's true. Informative interview with the Jockey Club registrar over at NPR (National Public Radio) should you wish to die happy in the fuller knowledge on the science of naming racehorses.
whoops; that NPR link is ...
lol - those are the kind of things that come in handy at trivai nights. Not that I actually go to them.
well, knowledge sans trivia nights is still knowledge. ;)
