Radiance

Set in 17th century Iran. About a young girl who is a rug maker and her mother who are left to fend for themsleves after the death of her father. A good read - the author is a real storyteller. Although you get different covers in the US than we do in australia and this one isn't as nice as mine!

Like a Charm: A Novel in Voices

had high hopes for this one but they were false hopes for me. Follows a charm bracelet over the years and it's vaious owners. Each chapter is written by a different author - and some good ones, Karin Slaughter, John Connolly, Mark Billingham, Lee Child. But maybe it's because it read like a book of short stories with a common theme and I'm not a fan of short stories.
